Left Behind

When we put our house up for sale in Texas I went through the house and depersonalized it.  I took all the family photos off the walls, put away all the little nick-nacky things, and even cleaned up my sewing room, but I did not take down the quilts that were on the walls.  I should have.  After about two months we had a couple come through the house and they fell in love with the house and one of the quilts I had left up in my stairwell.  It is a postage stamp quilt I had made about fifteen years ago.  I embellished it with applique and it was very eye catching and pleasant to look at.  Well....it stayed with the house.  And even though they paid for it I felt like I was leaving behind the family pet.  So......if you are selling your house make sure you only leave up the quilts you don't mind leaving behind.
